Hamer Scholarships for Language Study
The Victorian Government Hamer Scholarships Program may be a language and cultural immersion program designed to create the Asia-engagement capabilities of Victorians and to assist strengthen cultural awareness and partnerships between Victoria and Asia. Scholarships for Victorians to undertake intensive language study at nominated universities or institutions in China, Indonesia, Japan and Korea and Scholarships are awarded to undertake intensive language study (Chinese, Indonesian, Japanese and Korean). The scholarships are primarily aimed toward Victorians working within the public, private, not-for-profit and artistic and academic industries.
Eligibility
- Aged 21 or above during the time of completing the appliance
- Willing to review a language at one among the nominated institutions, for no but one to 2 semesters (minimum 5-6 months). Alternative universities, institutions or non-language courses won’t be considered
- Not in receipt of the other grant, funding or scholarship for study within the elected country.
Benefits
Scholarships are awarded 70%-75%
How to Apply
