Scholarship Council Canada is an organization run by dedicated professionals with more than 10 decades of combined experience in the field of education delivery, content development and student advising. Our aim is to provide equal opportunities to everyone to further education by removing financial barriers.

Through our partners, we have more than 250,000 scholarships available each year. These range from tuition fee for a single term to fully paid programs of up to 4 years.

A full scholarship, also known as 100% scholarship, is where your full tuition fees is covere by the scholarship/award. Some universities also pay a monthly stipend to cover your living costs. This information will be available to you once we have processed your application and have heard from one of the scholarship providers.

A partial scholarship is where less than 100% of your tuition fees is covered by the scholarship/award. The university may cover anywhere between 5% to 95% of your tuition fees. Generally, there is no monthly stipend on offer in partial scholarships.

Once we have received a completed application, we will assess it and then forward it to our education partners. They will get back to Scholarship Council Canada with a result in a few weeks. You will be informed at all times where your application is in this process.

Merit-based scholarships are competitive. We will process all applications on first-come-firstserve basis. Generally, universities will divide the merit-based scholarships’ amount with top students in their list. It is important that you provide all academic and co-curriculum information to increase your chances of getting a scholarship. Need-based scholarships are offered to students who demonstrate a genuine financial need. We will analyze your application and advice if you are being selected for need-based scholarships.

We will send you the acceptance letter with scholarship details. We will guide you to obtain other necessary documentations before you travel.

We only need your academic and co-curricular documents to process your application. Any financial requirements will be communicated to you directly by the university through the acceptance letter.

We will advise you on how to improve your chances for the next round of competitions. We will also help you improve your academic skills such as the IELTS, SAT, GMAT etc.

We need to be sure that the person filling-in the application is the person applying for the scholarship. We assure you that we have security protocols in place to safeguard your data.

We will only process complete applications. A completed application is where we have verified all the documents and received identity details of the applicant. This is to ensure that we are working with genuine applicants only.

The world of information technology has provided people with tools that may be used for illicit purposes. We need to make sure that we are only referring genuine students to our partner education institutions. We assure you that your documents will only be used for the purpose collected.

Grades are important component of the application. However, our partners will look at the application in a wholistic fashion. There may be need-based or discipline specific scholarships available to you.
