UQ Howard and Gladys Sleath International awards in Australia

In 1998, Howard Sleath bequeathed 50% of his estate to the University of Queensland. Mr Sleath gave Queensland the instruments of a string quartet under the supervision of the Dean of the School of Music, and the instruments were first presented by the Mayne String Quartet at the inaugural concert of the Howard Sleath Instrument Quartet in 1974. Music is one of the most anticipated art forms among students. Aspiring students who want to pursue a career in music have a great opportunity to apply for the Howard and Gladys Sleeth Scholarship. Eligibility Criteria for Howard

  • National and international
  • You are currently a newly enrolled student or intend to enroll in an undergraduate degree program.
  • The student will be studying full-time during the first year of the program.
