It includes nine colleges, eight graduate schools, and offers a large number of programs in creative fields. The university is located in Toyama City and Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture, Japan. And was (founded in 1949), Toyama Medical (founded in 1975), and Takaoka National College (founded in 1983). Currently, the university consists of 8 faculties, 6 graduate schools, laboratories, a hospital, a library, and 18 research institutes. Approximately 9,300 students (including 314 international students) study at the university.
