Brief description:
The Victoria University of Wellington is making available the Tongarewa Scholarship to celebrate the University’s commitment to its international student community. Eligible applicants are those either entering their first year of an undergraduate degree or entering a postgraduate degree programme at Victoria University of Wellington. Recipients are expected to act as Ambassadors for Victoria University of Wellington and participate in appropriate events or marketing if requested.

Scholarship value/inclusions:
The scholarships range from NZ$5,000 to NZ$10,000. this is often a partial fee-based scholarship which will be paid towards your tuition fees for 1 year of study. Scholarships are awarded competitively on the idea of educational excellence. they’re going to apply to review within the year following application and can be credited to tuition fees.
Recipients of the Scholarship are guaranteed a suggestion of an area within the Halls of Residence, provided an accommodation application is received by the Accommodation Service by the specified deadline.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be commencing international students who are paying full international fees and are either entering their first year of an undergraduate degree or entering a postgraduate degree. they ought to have received a suggestion of place from Victoria University of Wellington (conditional or unconditional).
You are not eligible for this scholarship if you:
• Completed your education at a replacement Zealand school
• Completed a prerequisite degree at Victoria University of Wellington (i.e. English Proficiency Programme or Foundation Studies Programme)
• Are a Study Abroad or Twinning student from one among the overseas partner universities
• Are in your second or subsequent year of study at Victoria University of Wellington.
