Brief description:
Full scholarships are available for exceptionally qualified candidates who are accepted for study at GRIPS. International students applying for the Young Leaders Program at GRIPS can apply for the japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarships. Scholarships are allocated on a competitive basis and only a limited number of scholarships are available. Candidates need to be overseas students that are recommended by Japanese Embassy/Consulate General, University, or Authority.

Scholarship value/inclusions:
The scholarship award provides for a monthly stipend of 242,000 yen per month (rate in FY 2019; amount is subject to change) to hide living expenses like food, clothing, and other daily expenses, also as accommodation, transportation, medical treatment, insurance, and various miscellaneous expenses associated with the study at GRIPS. This stipend is fixed and can’t be increased to hide relations . The scholarship also covers university application fee, entrance fee , and tuition.
Scholars are going to be given an economy-class air ticket from their home country to Japan upon enrolment at GRIPS and an economy-class air ticket from Japan to their home country upon completion of their studies at GRIPS.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be below the age of 35 as of 1 April 2020 and are nationals of nations with which Japan has diplomatic relations. they need to be overseas students who don’t reside in Japan.
The Young Leaders Program is program is hospitable exceptionally promising young officialdom with considerable working experiences within the area of public administration. A minimum of three years working experience within the field within the applicant’s home country is required. Students are going to be admitted on the idea of their potential to become future leaders reception , to play important roles in their countries’ development, and to take care of the lasting friendship and trust of Japan and other countries round the world.
