Brief description:
The Scottish Government, together with Scottish universities, are offering Scotland’s Saltire Scholarships to citizens of select countries who wish to review full-time Masters degrees fully delivered in Scottish universities, within the areas of science, technology, creative industries, healthcare and medical sciences, and renewable and clean energy. The scholarships target students who aspire to become influential leaders and who have wide-ranging interests outside their studies, also as a desire to broaden their personal and academic experience in Scotland.
Saltire Scholars will act as ambassadors not just for the Saltire Scholarships programme, but also for Scotland. they need to:
• Maintain a typical of conduct which will uphold the great reputation of the Saltire Scholarship Programme and therefore the institution at which they study.
• Actively participate within the programme’s extra-curricular events.
• Support communications activity promoting Scotland and Scottish education , supported their own experience. This might include posting on social media about their time and knowledge in Scotland.
• Be available for an interview (including on camera) during either the welcome or end-of-year event, granting Scottish Government and therefore the relevant university the proper to use the text and pictures indefinitely.
• Agree that the Scottish Government can use any photographs, blogs, quotes etc. in reference to your Saltire Scholarship participation for marketing purposes.

• Creative industries – e.g. Communications, Media and Culture; Broadcasting; Film; Animation; Journalism; Cultural; Publishing; New Media Studies; Computer Games / Computer Arts; Design; Graphics; Industrial; Interior; Fashion.
• Healthcare and medical sciences – e.g. Physical and Life Sciences; Astronomy; Chemistry; Physics; Biology; Health Sciences; Biotechnology.
• Renewable and clean energy -e.g. Sustainable Engineering; Renewable Energy; Biomass / Bio fuels; Hydro / Solar / Tidal / wind generation .
Number of Scholarships:
Up to 50
Target group:
Nationals of the subsequent countries: Canada, China (including Hong Kong), India, Japan, Pakistan and USA.
Scholarship value/inclusions:
Each award is worth £8000 to be used towards tuition fees for the duration of 1 year of full-time and motion study on a postgraduate Masters’s programme at any of Scotland’s education institutions.
Any additional costs and expenses are the responsibility of the scholar .
Eligibility:
Applicants must:
• Be citizens of Canada, India, Japan, USA, Pakistan or China (Hong Kong citizens also are eligible because it may be a Special Administrative Region of China)
• Have a conditional or unconditional offer of an area at a Scottish university on an eligible course. See the official website (link found below) for an inventory of Scottish universities. But students of the Open University in Scotland aren’t eligible.
• Be ready to demonstrate that they will meet the prices of living in Scotland and therefore the remaining tuition fees.
• Not have previously studied for a full undergraduate degree in Scotland, nor have previously received a Saltire Scholarship.
• Meet the language requirements of the course.
• Complete a form and submit it by the deadline of 31 July 2020.
Applicants must demonstrate an interest in studying in Scotland and/or at a selected Scottish university and aspire to figure and study during a global context and take an edge of leadership in their chosen career. they need to also demonstrate a willingness and therefore the necessary interpersonal and communication skills required to participate within the programme of activities that accompanies the scholarships.

Scholarship Council Canada has electronic application center, fill in the form and upload your documents. Upon successful application submission, you will receive an acknowledgment and electronic payment receipt. Keep it safe as a reference and wait for the outcome. Scholarship Council Canada team will take care of your further process upon qualifying.
