DAAD is offering scholarships to graduates around the world who wish to continue their education in Germany with a Master’s degree programme in Architecture or continuing course of study within the field of Architecture not resulting in a final qualification. Studies will need to be undertaken at a state or state-recognised German university of the student’s choice.

Scholarship value/inclusions:
Master’s degree programme: Scholarships are going to be awarded for the duration of the quality period of study for the chosen study programme (up to a maximum of 24 months). Applicants who are already in Germany within the first year of a Master’s degree course at the time of application may apply for funding for his or her second year of study. In this case, it’s impossible to increase the scholarship.
Complementary studies not resulting in a final qualification: Scholarships are going to be awarded for 1 school year.
All scholars are going to be paid a monthly stipend of € 850 and given an allowance, one-off study allowance and payments towards health, accident and private insurance cover. Under certain circumstances, scholars could also be given a monthly rent subsidy and a monthly allowance for accompanying relations .
To enable scholars to find out German in preparation for his or her stay in Germany, DAAD also will buy the course fees for the web language course “Deutsch-Uni Online (DUO)” for six months after receipt of the Scholarship Award Letter, and if necessary, for German courses of two , 4 or 6 months’ duration before the beginning of the study visit. Participation during a language course is compulsory if the language of instruction or working language is German at the German host institution.
If the scholar holder is enrolled during a Master or postgraduate degree programme which incorporates a study period abroad, funding for this era abroad is typically only possible under the subsequent conditions:

Eligibility:
