Beijing Language and Culture University Scholarship 2021

1. Bilateral Program
This includes full or partial scholarships in accordance with educational exchange agreements or MOUs between the Chinese government and governments of other countries, institutions, universities and international organizations. It supports undergraduate programs, master’s programs, doctoral programs, general scholar programs and senior scholar programs.Applicants shall apply to the dispatching authorities for overseas study in their home countries.

2. Chinese University Program
a full scholarship to support Chinese universities in specific provinces or autonomous regions to recruit outstanding international students for graduate studies in China. It only supports master’s programs and doctoral programs. BLCU may be a designated and ideal university for all scholarship winners
Chinese Government Scholarship—Chinese University Program may be a full scholarship established by MOE to support Chinese universities in specific provinces or autonomous regions to recruit outstanding international students for graduate studies in China. At the present, a complete of 221 Chinese universities are designated to undertake this program.
Beijing Language and Culture University is one among the schools that participate during this program, applicants can apply through BLCU.
Program Categories, Duration and Language of Instruction
1. This scholarship only supports graduate programs. Scholarship duration is 2 to 3 years for master’s programs and three to four years for doctoral programs.
2. Most programs in Chinese universities are instructed in Chinese. Certain programs offer English-taught.
3. The scholarship duration laid out in the Admission Letter, covering major study and Chinese language study, can’t be extended generally
Application Information for Confucius Institute Scholarship 2021 at Beijing Language and Culture University
For the aim of cultivating qualified Chinese language teachers and facilitating the promotion of Chinese language and culture, the Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) launches “Confucius Institute Scholarship” (CIS). supported Application Information for Confucius Institute Scholarship 2021, released by Hanban, Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU) figured out following application guide:
eligibility
All applicants shall be
a)Non-Chinese citizens
b)In good Physical and mental condition, well performed both academically and behaviorally
c)Aspired to require future careers on the teaching or international promotion of Chinese language.
d) Between the ages of 16-35 on September 1st, 2021. Applicants currently working as Chinese language teachers shall not exceed the regulation of 45, while undergraduate students shall not exceed the regulation of 25.
SCHOLARSHIP TYPES AND QUALIFICATIONS
A.Scholarship for Master’s Degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (MTCSOL)
Commences in September 2021 and provides the scholarship for max two academic years. Applicants shall be Bachelor degree holders and have a minimum score of 210 in HSK Test (Level 5) also as 60 in HSKK test (Intermediate Level). Applicants who are ready to provide the notarized document of the utilization agreement or related proofs upon completing study in China are preferred.
B.Scholarship for Bachelor’s Degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (BTCSOL)
Commences September 2021 and provides the scholarship for max four academic years. Applicants must have graduated with a high school diploma, , and have a minimum score of 210 in HSK Test (Level 4) also as 60 in HSKK test (Intermediate Level).
C.Scholarship for One-Academic-Year Study
Commences September 2021, and provides a scholarship for max 11 months. International students currently studying in China aren’t eligible.
I. Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages
Applicants shall have a minimum score of 270 in HSK test (Level 3), while HSKK test score required.
Ii.Chinese Language Study
Applicants shall have a minimum score of 180 in HSK test (Level 3).
D.Scholarship for One-Semester Study
Commences either in September 2021 or the top of February 2021, and provides scholarship of maximum 5 months. Applicants withholding visas X1 or X2 aren’t eligible. Applicants shall have a minimum score of 210 in HSK test (Level 3), while HSKK test score required.

1. Special Four-week Program for Confucius Institutes
it provides a four-week scholarship. Organized and applied by a Confucius Institute with a minimum of 15 participants per group. If the 15 participants form one class, commencement date are often negotiated. Applicants withholding visas X1 or X2 aren’t eligible.

The Confucius Institute Scholarship provides full coverage on tuition fee, accommodation fee, living allowance (four-week study students are excluded) and comprehensive medical insurance expenses.
lAPPLICATION PROCEDURES
Online registration are going to be available from March 1, 2021 on the Confucius Institute Scholarship website (cis.chinese.cn). Please go online to look recommending institutions and host institutions, upload application materials online, track the appliance progress, feedback of review and admission results. Scholarship holders got to confirm with BLCU to travel through the procedures of studying in China, print out CIS certificate online, and register at BLCU at the designated date and time as per the letter of admission.
The application deadlines are
a) April 20th (for those commencing within the end of June)

d)December 20th (for those commencing within the end of February 2021)
Hanban will complete the scholarship review and notify the results two months before enrollment of the admitted students..
CHINESE BRIDGE AWARD RECIPIENT POLICIES
Chinese Bridge winners who are awarded the 2021 “Confucius Institute Scholarship Certificate” shall log onto the scholarship website and submit documents to BLCU upon presentation of their CIS certificates. Please contact chinesebridge@hanban.org for inquiry.
Application Documents for Confucius Institute Scholarship
for all applicants
1. a) A Scanned copy of passport photo page.
For the scholar under the age of 18, their parents should entrust a foreigner residing in China or a Chinese residing in Beijing with the student’s guardianship, and supply notarized guardianship guarantee statement.
1. B) A scanned copy of score reports of the HSK and HSKK tests (within the two-year validity)
2. c) A Recommendation letter by the top of the recommending institutions. Applicants currently working as Chinese language teachers shall provide the proof of employment also as a reference letter by the employing institution.
3. D) A certification of the very best education diploma (or proof of expected graduation)
Degree Programs Application Documents
1. For Master’s Degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (MTCSOL)
a)A scanned copy of a politician undergraduate transcript.
b) 2 reference letters from professors or associate professors. Those that can provide a notarized employment contract with teaching institutions are preferred.
c) A study plan (including CV, education background, Chinese language proficiency, personal statement on research ability, research proposal, and career plan) above 800 Chinese words. This could be scanned and uploaded in Education Background section.

2. a) A scanned copy of official transcripts for up to date diploma.
Note:
1. A)Applicants for one-semester and four-week program scholarship who withhold visas X1 or X2 aren’t eligible. Passport pages are going to be checked upon registration. Those who withhold visas X1 or X2 are going to be bereft of scholarship. All the results caused by providing false documents shall be borne by applicants themselves.
2. B) Additional documents could also be required by BLCU on certain conditions.
OTHERS

2. b) Degree students shall accept the annual assessment under the Annual Appraisal Procedures of Confucius Institute Scholarship
3. c) Those who did not register on time, did not pass the health assessment, dropped out midway and/or suspended are going to be bereft of scholarship.
4. D) Each applicant can only apply for one scholarship provided by Chinese government. Multiple applications for various scholarships are going to be considered invalid and such applicants are going to be disqualified from scholarship.
