Basic Information and Duration of the China Pharmaceutical University Scholarships
1. Coverage of the scholarship:
● Tuition waiver;
● Accommodation: free university dormitory; CPU will accommodate scholarship students in a university dormitory (usually twin room)
● Stipend: master’s students: CNY 3,000 per month; doctoral students: CNY 3,500 per month.
Within the scholarship duration, registered scholarship students will receive a stipend from their CPU month by month China Pharmaceutical University Scholarships.
Students registering before the 15th of the month (the 15th included) will receive a full stipend for that month. those that register after the 15th of the month will receive half stipend of that month.
If a registered student stays out of China for quite 15 days (school holidays excluded), his stipend is going to be stopped during his leave.
Graduating students will receive a stipend until a half month after the graduation date

Note: in theory, the courses are going to be taught in Chinese. Scholarship students without sufficient Chinese language proficiency are required to require one-year remedial Chinese language courses and pass the relevant test before the studies in their specialties. For those that take the one-year remedial Chinese language courses, the duration of the scholarship is going to be extended correspondingly.
Ⅱ China Pharmaceutical University Scholarships Eligibility Requirements
1. Applicants must be non-Chinese nationals and in healthiness.
2. Applicants aren’t studying in Chinese universities.
3. Education background and age limit:
o Applicants for master’s degree studies must have a bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 35;
o Applicants for Doctoral degree studies must have a master’s degree and be under the age of 40.
4. Applicants should have a competitive academic record.
5. Applicants should have strong research projectability.

Applicants are encouraged to contact their prospective supervisors before application and are expected to surround in their application package the relevant recommendation letters written by those supervisors.
IV China Pharmaceutical University Scholarships Application Materials
1. The applicants must fill in and supply the subsequent materials truly and properly (in duplicate).
2. Form for Chinese Government Scholarship (print and sign the shape after submitting an application online)
3. Photocopy of the passport;
4. The notarized photocopy highest diploma and transcripts. If applicants are university students or already employed, they ought to also provide a Certificate of Enrollment or Employment accordingly. Documents in languages aside from Chinese or English must be attached with translations in Chinese or English;
5. Chinese Language test report (HSK) for Chinese-taught programs and English test report e.g. IELTS or TOEFL for English-taught programs;
6. A study or research proposal (written in Chinese or English and no but 800 words);
7. Two letters of advice from full professors or associate professors in Chinese or English (professors’ signature, contact telephone number, and email address must be placed on the letter);
8. Published academic papers or other academic achievements (if applicable).
9. Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form.
The medical examinations must cover all the things listed within the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid. The checkup results are going to be valid for six months. All applicants are kindly requested to require this factor into consideration as they decide to take the checkup.
Note: Upon completion of an online application, applicants should submit or send the above materials to the Section of International Students of China Pharmaceutical University before April 15, 2021.
Application materials won’t be returned no matter the results of the appliance.

VII. Admission and Notification
1. China Pharmaceutical University will review all the appliance materials. Decisions for admission and for granting the scholarships are going to be made on the idea of the applicants’ competitiveness, academic record, and otherwise.
2. The name list of the scholarship awardees for graduate programs is going to be sent to China Scholarship Council for review before the top of April 2021.
3. After the name list is reviewed and approved by China Scholarship Council, the scholarship awardees are going to be notified by the university, and the Admission Notice and other relevant documents are going to be sent to them before the top of July 2021.
4. All applicants got to pay RMB2021 Yuan as a deposit and can get refunded after registration at China Pharmaceutical University Scholarships.VIII. Notes
5. Scholarship students’ affairs shall be managed consistent with relevant regulations of Chinese Government Scholarship. Scholarship students must undergo the Annual Review of the Chinese Government Scholarship Status.
6. The duration of the scholarship couldn’t be extended if the awardees fail to end the studies thanks to personal reasons.
7. Scholarship students who need to suspend their studies due to illness should return to their home country for further treatment and rest. Expenses for the international visitors and from the university are going to be borne by the scholars themselves, and their scholarship status are going to be reserved for one year at the most, with the monthly living allowance stopped during the suspension. Scholarships of the scholars who suspend their studies for reasons aside from illness won’t be reserved China Pharmaceutical University Scholarships.
