Calihan Travel Grant Program – Acton Institute
At a tutorial conference, research relevant to themes promoted by the Acton Institute. Such themes include the mixing of theological ideas with principles of limited government, rule of law, religious freedom, and economic liberty. Grants also are hospitable students who got to visit , and perform research at, archives or libraries or to attend educational conferences that involve the above themes.
Agreement: Recipients must answer a gift notification within one month and cling to fellowship conditions listed below. Duration: Travel grants aren’t renewable but recipients are eligible to reapply. Deadlines: The Travel Grant selection process is ongoing. Applications must be received a minimum of six weeks before the travel date. No application are going to be considered for funding retroactively.
Eligibility
- Grants hospitable seminarians or graduate students in theology, philosophy, religion, economics, or related fields. Strong academic performance is important .
- Candidates must have a demonstrated interest within the themes of the Acton Institute. Awards are hospitable all qualified persons regardless of age, race, sex, national or ethnic origin, citizenship, religious affiliation, or disability.
Benefits
Grant Amounts: Travel grants don’t exceed $3,000, but typically range from $500-$1,000. Grant amounts take under consideration the prices of travel, lodging, registration, and other associated conference or research expenses. Other sources of funding also are considered.
Scholarships are awarded 70%-75%
