• Has overcome insurmountable odds like serious financial challenges, oppressive social-cultural practices like early marriages and feminine Genital Mutilation (FGM) etc. so as to achieve academic excellence.
• Comes from a financially disadvantaged background.
• Has demonstrated clear financial need
