The foundation welcomes proposals from any of the natural and social sciences and therefore the humanities that promise to extend understanding of the causes, manifestations, and control of violence and aggression. Highest priority is given to research which will increase understanding and amelioration of urgent problems of violence and aggression within the times .

Research with no relevance to understanding human problems won’t be supported, nor will proposals to research urgent social problems where the inspiration can’t be assured that useful, sound research are often done. Timing: New applications must be submitted by Lammas , for a choice in December.Final decisions are made by the Board of Directors at its meeting in December. Applicants are going to be informed promptly by email also as letter of the Board’s decision. Grants ordinarily commence on January 1 but later starting dates could also be requested if the character of the research makes this appropriate.

Eligibility

• Applicants for a search grant could also be citizens of any country. While most recipients of our research grant possess a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree, there are not any formal degree requirements for the grant. The grant, however, might not be wont to support research undertaken as a part of the wants for a graduate degree.
• Applicants needn’t be affiliated with an establishment of upper learning, although most are college or university professors.
• The inspiration awards research grants to individuals (or a couple of principal investigators at most) for individual projects and doesn’t award grants to institutions for institutional programs. Individuals who receive research grants could also be subject to taxation on the funds awarded.
