Brief description:
The Auckland University of Technology (AUT) is making available International Excellence Scholarships to all or any international students who are beginning their studies at AUT full-time from Semester 2, 2020 (and for all remaining 2020 intakes). Only high achieving international students are going to be considered.

The Postgraduate Excellence award is NZ $7,500
The Undergraduate Excellence award is NZ $7,500
The English Pathway Excellence scholarship (for GIE students) is NZ $3,000
The Study Abroad Excellence award is NZ $2,000.
The scholarship are going to be paid as either a compulsory fees credit towards the primary semester of study at AUT; or as a contribution towards accommodation in an approved AUT Halls of residence, subject to applicant securing a suggestion of accommodation. Recipients of this scholarship are required to be enrolled full time at AUT during the tenure of the scholarship.
Eligibility:
The award of this scholarship is conditional on the scholar gaining entry to an AUT programme (duration of a minimum of 120 points, apart from Study Abroad and GIE programmes).
Scholarship applicants must be full-fee paying international students, i.e., not citizens, permanent residents or resident visa holders of latest Zealand or Australia; or they’re within the process of applying for the aforementioned categories. they need to have a current and valid conditional or unconditional offer to review an AUT programme (Bachelors level or above, excluding doctoral and a minimum of 120 points). they ought to have the same GPA of 6.0 out of 9.0 (B+ average) or above in their most up-to-date qualification/programme.
Scholarships are going to be awarded on academic merit. Returning AUT students (i.e. students who have already commenced study at AUT (excluding AUT International House GIE English pathway programmes) won’t be considered. Selection are going to be supported demonstrated academic excellence. The country of origin of the applicant could also be considered by the choice committee to align with AUT’s strategic aims. Applicants who have declared other sorts of scholarships both internally (awarded by AUT) and externally (e.g. government scholarships) are going to be considered on a case-by-case basis.
