A student exchange program may be a program during which students from a lyceum or university study abroad at one among their institution’s partner institutions. A student exchange program may involve international travel, but doesn’t necessarily require the scholar to review outside of his or her home country.

The term “exchange” means a partner institution accepts a student, but doesn’t necessarily mean that the scholars need to find a counterpart from the opposite institution with whom to exchange.
