Full scholarship
-Exempt from tuition fee, on-campus accommodation
-Provide comprehensive medical insurance
– Monthly living allowance:
3,000 RMB/month for master’s degree students;
3,500 RMB/month for doctoral degree students.
l Chongqing University Scholarship Eligibility
1.Applicants must be non-Chinese nationals in a good physical and psychological state.
2.Educational background and age limit:
-Applicants for master’s degree studies must have a bachelor’s degree during a relevant academic background and be under the age of 35.
-Applicants for doctoral degree studies must have a master’s degree during a relevant academic background and be under the age of 40.
3.Language proficiency requirement:
Applicants whose language isn’t English got to provide a score report of English proficiency test (a score above IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL Internet-based 80 or equivalent), or a certificate from a former university that the previous degree is taught in English, or a certificate indicating the applicants have studied in an English-speaking country for quite one year.
4.This program generally doesn’t support registered students who are studying in China at the time of application. Applicants who have already completed degree study in China should graduate for quite one year.

l Application Procedure and Documents
Step 1: CSC online application
Create an account and fill within the form on the website of China Scholarship Council, and have the appliance form submitted, downloaded, printed, and signed.
Please choose program B. The agency number of Chongqing University is 10611.
Please confirm there’s a serial number on the rock bottom of your form.
Step 2: CQU online application
Create an account at the web application portal of Chongqing University, choose “Chinese Government Scholarship’, fill within the form, upload the subsequent application documents(the file size of every document is not any bigger than 1M) and submit your application.
List of application documents to be uploaded:
1.Signed and scanned CSC form (from Step 1)
2.Personal information page of the passport. The passport shall have a minimum validity of 1 year.
3.Degree Diploma. Applicants for master’s degrees shall provide bachelor’s degree diplomas. Applicants for the doctoral degree shall provide a master’s degree diploma. Prospective diploma recipients must submit a politician pre-graduation certificate issued by your current university stating your student status and expected graduation date. Documents in languages aside from Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.
4.Academic transcript. Applicants for a master’s degree shall provide transcripts for a bachelor’s degree. Applicants for the doctoral degree shall provide transcripts for the master’s degree. Transcripts in languages aside from Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.
5.A personal statement. Applicants shall submit a private statement indicating their past academic background and a study plan or research proposal in Chongqing University, with no but 800 words in English.
6. Two academic recommendation letters. The applicants shall provide two academic recommendation letters signed by professors or associate professors in English, with an assessment of your academic or research performance, also because the professor’s contact information including the position, email address, and phone number.
7. CV. The applicants shall submit a CV introducing their personal information, education background, work experience, research work, publications, honors, and other information which could facilitate your application.
8. English proficiency certificate. Please see ‘Eligibility 3’ for detailed information.
9. Foreigner physical examination form. Please download the shape via Click Here. The form shall be filled in English. The medical examinations must cover all the things listed within the form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid.
Please carefully plan your physical examination schedule because the result’s valid for less than 6 months.
10. Proof of non-criminal record: a non-criminal record from the judicial department of your home country, or a certificate from your current university/employer indicating your performance. Languages aside from Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.

Step 3: Payment of application fee
Please click “pay application fee” and pay a 400 RMB application fee at the web application portal of Chongqing University after you submit your application.
Application without payment is going to be considered uncompleted. The appliance fee is non-refundable.
Note:
1.The application documents uploaded should be complete, clear, true, and proper. Incomplete documents or applications without payment won’t be processed. Neither modification nor supplementary document shall be made upon submission.
2. Applicants aren’t required to send us hard copies of application documents.
3. Please make sure that your personal information (including your full name, date of birth, place of birth）filled on both of your CSC and CQU forms are according to the knowledge on your passport.
4. Please make sure that an accurate and reachable telephone number, email address, and address (including postcode) are provided.
5. Please check your registered email regularly, because the admission officer will inform all updates, arrange interviews and notify application status and scholarship result in your email.
6. We might not be ready to reply to every single mail and phone about the progress of the appliance. Your understanding and patience are going to be highly appreciated.
l Admission and Notification
1. Chongqing University will review all the appliance documents. An extra interview are going to be arranged with the applicants if necessary.
2. CSC will review the eligibility and qualifications of candidates nominated by Chongqing University, and choose the ultimate list of scholarship winners.
3. Chongqing University will inform and send the admission documents (Admission Letter and Visa form for Study in China (JW201)) to scholarship winners.
Note:
1. Scholarship winners shall not change their specialties, institutions, teaching language, or the duration of study laid out in the Admission Notice unless they provide up the scholarship.
2. Scholarship won’t be reserved if scholarship winners cannot register before the registration deadline (The registration time is going to be notified on your admission notice).
3. Scholarship students must undergo the Annual Review of the Chinese Government Scholarship Status. If students fail in Annual Review, their scholarships are going to be terminated.

Scholarship Council Canada has an electronic application center, fill in the form and upload your documents. Upon successful application submission, you will receive an acknowledgment and electronic payment receipt. Keep it safe as a reference and wait for the outcome. Scholarship Council Canada team will take care of your further process upon qualifying.
