Commonwealth Scholarships for Master’s study within the UK are offered for citizens of developing Commonwealth countries. These scholarships are funded by the united kingdom Department for International Development (DFID).

Scholarship value/inclusions:

Each Scholarship provides airfare to and from UK , tuition and examination fees, stipend, thesis grant (if applicable), an initial arrival allowance, among others. Please see the 2018 Commonwealth Scholarship Terms and Conditions for full scholarship benefits.

Eligibility:

To apply for these scholarships, you must:

  • Be a citizen of or are granted refugee status by an eligible Commonwealth country, or be a British Protected Person
  • Be permanently resident in an eligible Commonwealth country
  • Be available to start out your academic studies within the UK by the beginning of the united kingdom school year in September 2021
  • By September 2021, hold a primary degree of a minimum of upper second class (2:1) honours standard, or a second class degree and a relevant postgraduate qualification (usually a Master’s degree). The CSC wouldn’t normally fund a second UK Master’s degree. If you’re applying for a second UK Master’s degree, you’ll get to provide justification on why you would like to undertake this study
  • NOT be registered for a PhD, or an MPhil resulting in a PhD, at a UK university or in your home country before September/October 2021
  • Be unable to afford to review within the UK without this scholarship
  • Have provided all supporting documentation within the required format

Upon successful application submission, you will receive an acknowledgment and electronic payment receipt. Keep it safe as a reference and wait for the outcome.
