Fully Funded Scholarships for Asthma Patients in UK Ph.D

However, physical activity may be associated with increased exposure and intake of air pollution, thereby offsetting some or possibly all of the health benefits. Individuals with asthma are particularly vulnerable to the effects of air pollution, with children being the most susceptible. As a result, many children with asthma consciously avoid activities for fear of triggering a worsening of their condition. It is therefore important that we identify strategies to enable children with asthma to safely participate in physical activity while minimizing their exposure to air pollution.

To do this, we need to understand children’s air pollution exposure patterns and their relationship to health and work with children to co-design interventions to ensure optimal behavior change. This intervention aims to promote physical activity in a pollution-sensitive manner in people with asthma. Eligibility Criteria of Fully Funded Scholarships for Asthma Patients 

• Candidates should hold an upper second class (2:1) honors degree (or equivalent) in sports science or a similar related discipline.
• Experience of working with children
• Good understanding of and ability to work with technology and IT.
• Demonstrable experience in data analysis.
• Ability to work independently.
• Typically, we expect students to meet the academic and English language requirements at the time of application.
• IELTS 6.5 overall, with 5.5 or higher in each section.
