Brief description:

Each year, Rotary selects around 130 comfort and development leaders from worldwide to receive completely funded academic fellowships to pursue an expert Development Certificate Program or Masters Degree Program regarding peace and conflict resolution and prevention at one of many peace that is participating around the globe (United States Of America, Japan, UK, Australia, Sweden, Thailand, Uganda)

Host Institution(s):

• Duke University and University of Vermont at Chapel Hill, United States Of America: Master of Overseas Development Policy Program (MIDP) or levels which are different by the University of Vermont

• Global Christian University, Japan: Master’s Degree in Peace Studies

• University of Bradford, England: Advanced Practice in Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution MA

• University of Queensland, Australia: Master of Peace and Conflict Studies (MPACS)

• Uppsala University, Sweden: Peace and Conflict Studies (MS.Sc.)

• Chulalongkorn University, Thailand program that is(certificate: pro Development Certificate in Peace and Development Studies (PgCert)
• Makerere University, Uganda program that is(certificate

Important Note: Fellowship recipients may not study at comfort that is rotary Center their property country, apart from applicants from Thailand, who may go to the middle at Chulalongkorn University, and applicants from Uganda, who may go to the guts at Makerere University.

Professional Development Certificate Program or Master’s Degree Program in industries linked to conflict and peace resolution and avoidance

Target group:

Anybody endorsed by their Rotary that is local District.

No. of Scholarships:

Up to 50 fellowships for master’s degrees and 80 for certificate studies are awarded every year.

Scholarship value/inclusions:

The fellowships cover tuition and charges, board and space, round-trip transportation, and all internship and field-study expenses.

Eligibility:

The Peace is a rotary Fellowship designed for experts with work expertise in international relations or peace and conflict avoidance and resolution. Applicants additionally need to meet up with the demands which can be following

• Have three years of relevant work experience for the master’s program (5 years for the Duke
program)
• Have 5 years of relevant work experience for this system that is certificate be able to explain how their intend to promote peace aligns with Rotary’s mission (Candidates for Makerere University must either be from Africa, been employed by in Africa, or make use of African communities or initiatives outside the continent.)
• Be experienced in English
• Have a diploma that is bachelor’s
• Demonstrate leadership abilities
• Have a commitment that is strong cross-cultural understanding and peace

The due date for candidates to submit applications to their Rotary is the respective region 15 May 2021. Districts must submit endorsed applications to your Rotary Foundation by 1 2021 July.
