Graduate Women International (GWI) – International Awards

Graduate Women International (previously the International Federation of University Women) offers variety of international fellowships and grants to women graduates for postgraduate research, study and training. GWI fellowships and grants are hospitable non-member PhD candidates only providing they pay an administration fee of CHF 50 for ladies in developing countries and CHF 100 for ladies in industrialised countries. Fellowships are offered for the second and subsequent years of a doctoral programme.

Eligibility

• Applicants are required to submit proof of completion of the primary year of the programme by the time of the deadline for applications. The awards could also be utilized in any country aside from the one during which the applicant was educated and aside from the one during which the applicant habitually resides. For example: a replacement Zealand national or long-time resident enrolled during a New Zealand doctoral programme: wouldn’t be eligible if her research is to be administered in New Zealand. Would be eligible if her research or a part of her research is to be administered in another country.
• A Kenyan national enrolled during a New Zealand doctoral programme. Would be eligible if she has done her undergraduate studies during a country aside from New Zealand, no matter where her research is to be administered . wouldn’t be eligible if she has done her undergraduate add New Zealand and her doctoral research are going to be administered in New Zealand. Would be eligible if she has done her undergraduate add New Zealand and her doctoral research or a part of her research are going to be administered during a country aside from New Zealand or her home country.
