The ICO Three-Month Fellowships help promising young physician from developing countries better their actual skills and broaden their viewpoint of physician. Fellows are anticipate to bring the obtain knowledge and skills back to their home country and take part in programs to preserve and restore vision. Approximately 60 three-month fellowships are awarded annually .
Eligibility
- Residency training must be completed before applying for the fellowship.
- Specialist exam in ophthalmology must be successfully passed.
- Applicant must be under 40 years aged at the time of applying.
- Applicant must be reasonably fluent within the language of the fellowship training center.
Benefits
Award: US$6000 (maximum) to hide travel and living expenses for 3 months. the precise amount is subject to actual student-style living expenses within the host country.
Scholarships are awarded 70%-75%
