The Karimji Jiwanji Foundation (KJF) is the primary vehicle for the philanthropic work of the Karimji family. The foundation’s mission is to invest in education as a means of strengthening Tanzania’s economic development. The Karimji Jiwanji Foundation is awarding scholarships to Tanzanian citizens to pursue undergraduate and graduate degrees in Tanzania. The Karimjee Jivanjee Foundation is offering the program to high-potential students who wish to pursue undergraduate and graduate degree programs in Tanzania. The Karimji Jivangi Foundation (KJF) is the primary vehicle for the philanthropic work of the Karimji family. The Karimji Jiwanji family has a long history in East Africa, dating back to 1825 when the family came to Zanzibar as traders from Kutch, India. Why did you apply for this program? The mission of the Foundation is to invest in education as a means of strengthening economic development in Tanzania.

Eligibility Criteria for Karimji Jiwanji Foundation

  • Awardees must have achieved a grade point average of no less than 3.6 at A level or a Level 1 certificate.
  • This will be judged on their academic transcripts.
  • Awardees must be citizens of the United Republic of Tanzania (at the time they apply for the scholarship).
  • Short-term visiting and exchange students are not eligible to apply for the scholarship.
  • Recipients must demonstrate a compelling need for a scholarship from the Karimji Jiwanji Foundation.
