This scholarship hospitable students undertaking either postgraduate or undergraduate studies in Marine related studies. The scholarships were established in 2006 to permit graduate students to develop expertise in quantitative fisheries science in New Zealand. For undergraduate level, the scholarships are going to be paid call at two lump sums, one at the beginning of semester one and therefore the following at the beginning of semester two hooked in to acceptable grades having been received. The Ministry hopes to make an ongoing relationship with the scholarship recipients so as to market the progression of those students to the postgraduate level. this might include gathering all scholarship recipients together to speak about their future prospects. Undergraduate scholarships are offered to students curious about a double major in mathematics or statistics combined with biology or marine biology.
Eligibility
- Study must be undertaken within New Zealand
- You must undertake full-time study.
- A suitable university supervisor and NIWA or MPI technical advisor must be agreed before stage 2 of the appliance.
- There are not any age restrictions.
