Ph.D. Excellence international awards in Canada
(UMAR) is recruiting up to three new full-time students with various background beginning their doctoral studies at ISMER within the fall of 2021 or winter of 2022 semesters. The scholarships, amounting to twenty 000$ per annum, are going to be for 3 years. ISMER brings together many researchers and a community of scholars from all disciplines of the marine sciences (biology, chemistry, geology, and physics) who are dedicated during a collegial manner to the research and advancement of multidisciplinary knowledge of the coastal and marine environments during a sustainable development and global climate change perspective.
Eligibility
- Be ready to start the doctoral thesis within the fall of 2021 or winter of 2022 semesters;
- Be within the position to register (full time) within the doctoral program in oceanography at ISMER at the time of obtaining the scholarship;
- Meet the essential requirements for admission to the doctoral program in oceanography at ISMER;
- Have a mark average (GPA) of a minimum of 3.7 / 4.3 or the equivalent (ex. ≥ 14/20);
- The doctoral thesis must be administered under the supervision of a professor from ISMER;
