Brief description:

The Heller School for policy and Management at Brandeis University is offering the Sidney Topol Fellowship in Nonviolence Practice to applicants for the Master’s course of study in Coexistence and Conflict (COEX) in AY 2020/2021.

During their year in residence the Topol Fellows are going to be liable for planning and coordinating the Sidney Topol Lecture in Nonviolence which can bring back campus a pacesetter within the field. Following their school year in residence, Topol Fellows will secure required practicum placements in organizations that use nonviolence methods to realize sustainable peace, or in organizations committed to developing such methods. Topol Fellows are required to supply a report detailing their experiences at Heller and within the field, and to share their expectations for furthering a career focused on the utilization of nonviolent methods in conflict ridden areas.

Scholarship value/inclusions:

Full tuition scholarship. This fellowship doesn’t cover airfare, fees, insurance , or housing.

Eligibility:

Applicants for the Sidney Topol Fellowship in Nonviolence Practice must prove that their community benefited from their personal commitment to nonviolent principles through prior volunteer or work projects and that they must plan to returning to their community within subsequent 2 years after graduation from the COEX program, to determine projects in nonviolence.
