The Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) pleased to supply “SMUD Powering Futures Scholarship Program”. The scholarship is hospitable current highschool senior or graduate, have earned a GED certificate, or currently be a postsecondary undergraduate student. SMUD support the community through sponsorships, education, beautification and recreational facilities. The Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) provides electricity to Sacramento County, California, and little portion of adjacent Placer County. It’s one among the ten largest publicly owned utilities within the us , generating the majority of its power through the gas (estimated 56% of production total in 2009) and enormous hydroelectric generation plants.

Eligibility

• Be a current highschool senior or graduate, have earned a GED certificate, or currently be a postsecondary undergraduate student.
• Have a minimum GPA of three .0, supported a 4.0 scale.
• Plan to enroll in an accredited 2 or 4-year college/university within the U.S.

Benefits

Scholarships are awarded 70%-75%
