The Full Ride Lois Dale Scholarship Award

The Lois Dale Scholarship may be a need and merit-based grant, established and designed to assist make sure that a specific number of outstanding Des Moines Public Schools (DMPS) highschool seniors have the financial means to finish a two-year or four-year college education without debt. The amount of the scholarship is adequate to the resident cost of attendance, less other gift aid (including Pell Grants, institutional grants and scholarships, and personal scholarships). The amount of the award each subsequent year is predicated on an equivalent formula because the initial reward, renewals aren’t guaranteed. Award recipients will submit a summary of their year’s college experience to the brilliant Foundation at the top of every school year , along side an unofficial copy of their transcript. These four-year renewable scholarships are designed to form education at Iowa universities and community colleges possible for talented young Iowans who might not otherwise have the means to urge a university education.

Eligibility

  • A minimum 2.5 cumulative highschool GPA
  • Have significant financial need
  • Be an involved community member with strong potential for fulfillment within the college setting.
  • Able to articulate an idea for his or her education/career goals.
