The Simmons and Fletcher Excellence in Ethics Scholarship
Simmons and Fletcher, P.C. is a Houston personal injury law firm, respectively. It represents victims of car accidents, truck accidents, workplace injuries, and wrongful death. This educational opportunity assists and supports needy students who are facing financial crises. The grant program is open to interested students who want to pursue a law degree in college. This grant program is available for the 2021-2022 academic year.
All applicants must submit an essay of 1,000 words or more. The State Bar of Texas (and bar organizations in other states) highly encourage pro bono work by lawyers. This essay should focus on the importance of providing pro bono legal services to those who cannot afford them, and why this is beneficial to the community as a whole and to the legal system as a whole.
Eligibility Criteria for Simmons and Fletcher Scholarships
- Be currently enrolled or admitted to a U.S. law school
- Submit a complete essay discussing the importance of pro bono legal work
- Submit a completed application
- Applicants must not have received the same scholarship in the previous year

Scholarships are awarded 70%-75%
