UKRI CDT PhD at Swansea
The UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in AI , Machine Learning and Advanced Computing (AIMLAC) aims at forming subsequent generation of AI innovators across a broad range of STEMM disciplines. The CDT provides advanced multi-disciplinary training in an inclusive, caring and open environment that nurture each individual student to realize their full potential. Applications are encouraged from candidates from a various background which will positively contribute to the longer term of our society. The successful applicant will join the Reproductive Biology and Genecology Oncology research group in Swansea’s school of medicine together with Professor Paul Rees in Swansea’s College of Engineering.
Eligibility
- The typical prerequisite may be a minimum of a 2:1 undergraduate degree in biological and health sciences; mathematics and computing ; physics and astronomy or a relevant discipline.
- Candidates should have an interest in AI and large data challenges, and in (at least) one among the three research themes.
- You ought to have a flair and skill in computational thinking and methods (as evidenced by a degree in physics and astronomy, life science , computer science, or mathematics, for instance) including the power to write down software (or willingness to find out it).
