To make your education more affordable, the University of Melbourne will award the Mann Grant for the 2021-2022 academic year. This bursary is available to Australian students who are preparing to undertake a Masters’s program at the University of Melbourne.
Founded in 1853, the university is a public research university. It offers several programs at the undergraduate level of study. It also provides candidates, alumni, and the public with business opportunities available at the University, including gas pedals, pitch nights, master classes, workshops, and courses.
John Norman Mann graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1948 with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering. He worked as an engineer throughout Victoria, including with the State Water Board and the State Government. John Norman Mann passed away in 2017. A scholarship student himself, John Norman Mann credits his time at the university enabling him and his wife, Bette, to enjoy a rich and fulfilling life. He hopes that students in a similar situation to his will have the same opportunity.
Eligibility Criteria for University of Melbourne
- Be an Australian citizen
- Be enrolled in one of the following programs/subjects at Melbourne Engineering College
- Have a weighted grade point average of at least H1 (80%).
- Have financial need.
