UQ Ph.D. Positions in International/Global Wildlife Ecology and Conservation in Australia
This project seeks to know GLOBAL patterns in how wildlife communities are changing thanks to a spread of disturbances, like fragmentation and loss of apex predators. The Ph.D. student will address these questions employing a new global database of camera trapping studies.
Quantitative skills, like the power to code statistics using R, would be of benefit to someone performing on this project.
Eligibility
- This scholarship is hospitable to Australian citizens, permanent residents, and international students who are currently in Australia at the time of application and commencement.
- Applications are going to be judged on a competitive basis taking into consideration the applicant’s previous academic record, publication record, honors and awards, and employment history.
- The applicant will demonstrate academic achievement within the field/s of ecology and therefore the potential for scholastic success.
- A background or knowledge of statistics is very desirable.
