The University of Rhode Island, or URI, is that the flagship public university of Rhode Island located in Kingston. URI may be a large university with over 14,000 undergraduate students and offers 80 undergraduate majors across eight academic colleges.

URI Tuition & Cost
The University of Rhode Island may be a public university therefore the cost of attendance will depend upon whether the applicant may be a resident of Rhode Island.
Additionally, students who sleep in other New England states will receive discounted tuition per the New England Board of upper Education Regional Student Program.

URI Merit Scholarships
URI also offers students variety of merit scholarship opportunities. In fact, all highschool students who apply by December 1st are eligible for URI scholarships!
The eligibility criteria for scholarships at the University of Rhode Island includes:
Minimum GPA of a 3.2 (on a 4.0 scale)
Minimum SAT score of 1130 or ACT score of 23
Demonstrated involvement and leadership in class and community
The three major scholarships that the University of Rhode Island offers include:
URI Presidential Scholarship
URI University Scholarship
Thomas M. Ryan Scholars Program
These scholarships range from a couple of thousand dollars a year to a full ride (including tuition, room, board, and more!).
URI Presidential Scholarship
The Presidential Scholarships are renewable and price $1,500 to $15,000 per annum .
URI University Scholarship
The University Scholarships are renewable and price $2,00 to $10,000 per annum .
Thomas M. Ryan Scholars Program
The Thomas M. Ryan Scholars Program may be a full scholarship program which incorporates tuition, fees, housing, dining, books, and one winter study abroad experience for all four years of URI. Students also receive access to the University’s Honors Program, special advising, and other university events.
To qualify for the Thomas M. Ryan Scholarship, students are going to be selected from their admissions application then invited to interview on campus.

URI also offers need-based aid to students. to use for this aid students ust complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid or FAFSA application.
How to apply

Upon successful application submission you will receive an acknowledgment and electronic payment receipt. Keep it safe as a reference and wait for the outcome.
