Weiser Professional Development Fellowship 2021 in USA
The awards support short-term research visits of 4 weeks or 3 months to the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and include round-trip airfare, housing, insurance , and a modest by the day . Visits could also be planned for the months of February, March, April, September, October or November 2021 only. Selection of 2021 awardees are going to be made through a competitive review of proposals at the University of Michigan.
These awards are made possible because of a present from Ambassador Ronald Weiser, U.S. Ambassador to Slovakia from 2001-04, and his wife, Eileen Lappin Weiser.

The Weiser Center will grant 5-7 awards for visit Ann Arbor in February-April 2018 or September-November 2018.
Eligibilities
- Faculty and artists teaching at institutions of upper education in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Georgia, Russia (Kaliningrad District), Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Moldova, Serbia, the Slovakia , Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan may apply.
- Applicants should be actively engaged in teaching and must have a current appointment to which they shall return. Junior and mid-level academics are especially encouraged to use .
- All applicants must have earned a terminal degree, either their doctoral diploma or highest professional degree (e.g., M.F.A.) at the time of application.
- Applicants should have an honest command of speaking, reading, and writing in English. Applicants who have taken the TOEFL within the last three years should attach a replica of their score report. Personal statements, CVs, and letters of advice also will be evaluated for indications of English fluency. Per U-M policy, every visiting scholar must demonstrate English proficiency during an interview via Skype (or telephone) before arrival within the U.S. If a candidate is found to possess insufficient English fluency, he or she is going to not be awarded a Weiser Professional Development Award and can be encouraged to reapply at a later date.
