Brief description:

Designed to organize subsequent generations of worldwide leaders, Schwarzman Scholars is that the first scholarship created to reply to the geopolitical landscape of the 21st Century. The program will give the world’s best and brightest students the chance to develop their leadership skills and professional networks through a one-year Master’s Degree at Tsinghua University in Beijing – one of China’s most prestigious universities.

Scholarship value/inclusions:

The extraordinary students selected to become Schwarzman Scholars will receive a comprehensive scholarship which will include tuition and costs, room and board, visit and from Beijing at the start and end of the tutorial year, an in-country study tour, required course books and supplies, insurance, and a private stipend of $4,000.

Eligibility:

Undergraduate degree or degree from an accredited college or university or its equivalent.

Applicants who are currently enrolled in undergraduate degree programs must get on track to successfully complete all degree requirements before Lammas of their Schwarzman Scholars enrolment year. There are not any requirements for a selected field of undergraduate study; all fields are welcome, but it’s important for applicants, no matter undergraduate major, to articulate how participating in Schwarzman Scholars will help develop their leadership potential within their field.

Age Requirement.

Candidates must be a minimum of 18 but not yet 29 years aged as of Lammas of their Schwarzman Scholars enrolment year.

English language proficiency.

Applicants must demonstrate strong English skills, as all teaching is going to be conducted in English. If the applicant’s language isn’t English, official English proficiency test scores must be submitted with the appliance. Acceptable test options are:

  • Test of English as a far-off Language (TOEFL PBT). Minimum score 600.
  • Internet-based Test of English as a far-off Language (TOEFL iBT). Minimum score 100.
  • International English Testing System (IELTS). Minimum score 7.

This requirement is waived for applicants who graduated from an undergraduate institution where the first language of instruction was English for a minimum of two years of the applicant’s educational program. the need also will be waived for applicants who have studied in English for 2 or more years at a Master’s degree level or higher.
