Brief description:
The Humphrey Fellowship Program is for knowledgeable professionals curious about strengthening their leadership skills through a mutual exchange of data and understanding about problems with common concern within the U.S. and Fellows’ home countries.
Host Institution(s):
Fellows are placed at one among the participating USA universities. Fellows aren’t ready to choose which university they’re going to attend. Rather, they’re assigned in diverse groups of 7-15 to the foremost appropriate host institution supported their area of interest and professional field.
Level/Field of study:
As a non-degree program, the Fellowship offers valuable opportunities for professional development through selected university courses, attending conferences, networking, and practical work experiences. The eligible program fields are:

• Communications/Journalism
• Economic Development
• Educational Administration, Planning and Policy
• Finance and Banking
• education Administration
• HIV/AIDS Policy and Prevention
• Human Resource Management
• Law and Human Rights
• Natural Resources, Environmental Policy, and global climate change
• Public Health Policy and Management
• Public Policy Analysis and Public Administration
• drug abuse Education, Treatment and Prevention
• Teaching of English as a far off Language
• Technology Policy and Management
• Trafficking in Persons Policy and Prevention
• Urban and Regional Planning
Number of Awards:
Approximately 200 Fellowships are awarded annually.
Target group:
Citizens of eligible countries in Sub-Saharan Africa , Europe and Eurasia, Middle East and North Africa , East Asia and Pacific, South and Central Asia, and occident .
Scholarship value/inclusions:
The Fellowship provides for:
• Payment of tuition and costs at the assigned host university;
• Pre-academic English training, if required;
• A maintenance (living) allowance, including a one-time settling-in allowance;
• Accident and sickness coverage;
• A book allowance;
• A one-time computer subsidy;
• aviation (international visit and from the U.S. for the program and domestic visit required program events);
• knowledgeable Development allowance for professional activities, like field trips, professional visits, and conferences.
Eligibility:
The applicant must have:
• An undergraduate (first university) degree,
• A minimum of 5 years of full-time, professional experience
• Limited or no prior experience within us,
• Demonstrated leadership qualities,
• A record of public service within the community, and
• English ability
