This scholarship is hospitable anyone writing within the English who was born in Africa or both of whose parents were born in Africa. This writing scholarship has the target of allowing each Scholar the time to supply the primary draft of a completed book. Miles Morland found out the inspiration which bears his name in 2013, after a career investing in Africa via two companies he created, Blakeney Management and DPI (Development Partners International). Based in London, the Miles Morland Foundation (MMF) may be a UK charity which makes grants in areas reflecting its founder’s interests. The Foundation’s main aim is to support entities in Africa which permit Africans to urge their voices better heard. it’s particularly curious about supporting African writing and African literature.
Eligibility
- To qualify for the Scholarship a candidate must submit an excerpt from a bit of labor of between 2,000 – 5,000 words written in English that has been published and offered purchasable ,. this may be evaluated by a panel of readers and judges found out by the MMF. The work submitted are going to be judged purely on literary merit. it’s not the aim of the Scholarships to support academic or research project , or works of interest like religious or political writings. Submissions or proposals of this nature don’t qualify.
