The Soko Fund was established in 2003. Its sole purpose is to enable women in Malawi to get a university education by providing scholarships, and preference is given to women from needy circumstances who are already engaged in vocationally oriented studies. Since its establishment, the amount of scholars supported by the Soko Fund has increased per annum , and there are now Soko graduates in education, health sciences, agriculture and business. The Soko Fund provides scholarships to women from disadvantaged backgrounds in Malawi to review vocational degrees at one among Malawi’s four public universities.

Eligibility

• The Soko Fund supports women students on degree courses at the University of Malawi, Mzuzu University, and Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
• Awards are made on the idea of proven need and academic potential. they’re reviewed annually, and for college kids who have completed the year successfully in accordance with published criteria renewal is guaranteed.
