Brief description:
The Utrecht Excellence Scholarship offers variety of outstanding prospective students the chance to pursue a Master’s degree during a selected number of fields at Utrecht University.

Approximately 20-25 scholarships are available.

Scholarship value/inclusions/duration:
The Utrecht Excellence scholarship are often awarded as tuition fees OR tuition fees plus 11.000 euro living expenses. Because the grant isn’t automatically a full scholarship, it’s going to be necessary to seek out additional funding to be ready to finance your studies and stay completely.
The scholarship is awarded for the duration of the degree programme, which is one or two years, counting on the degree programme. The scholarship will only be renewed for the second year if the scholar is making satisfactory progress towards the degree.
Eligibility:
To be eligible for an Utrecht Excellence Scholarship, you must:
• • Belong to the highest 10% of your graduating class*
• • Not hold an EU/EEA passport and not be eligible for support under the Dutch system of study grants and loans
• • Have completed your lyceum and/or Bachelor degree outside Netherlands
• Have applied for an eligible international master’s programme with a start date of 1 September 2021.
• Be ready to suits the conditions to get a Dutch visa/residence permit.

Your application for a scholarship will only be processed if you’ve got submitted an application for a Master’s programme also. As a part of the appliance, you would like to upload a politician document issued by your university that proves you’re among the highest 10% of your class, like a press release signed and stamped by your University, a reference letter, a category ranking certificate, etc.
After submitting an application for the Master’s programme, non-EU/EEA students will have the choice to submit an application for a Utrecht Excellence Scholarship from 1 November. Prospective students who wish to be considered for the scholarship must apply before 31 January 2021, 23:59 CET, after which the appliance portal are going to be closed. Please note that in some cases you’ll got to apply before 1 December; check the ‘When to apply’ section under Admission and application of your master’s programme.

How to apply

Scholarship Council Canada has electronic application center, fill in the form and upload your documents. Upon successful application submission you will receive an acknowledgment and electronic payment receipt. Keep it safe as a reference and wait for the outcome. Scholarship Council Canada team will take care of your further process upon qualifying.
