Procedures for handling applications vary from country to country and therefore the process can take up to 12 months. Applications should therefore be submitted well beforehand of the projected starting date.
Eligibility
- All potential candidates from WCC member churches wishing to receive a private study scholarship must meet the subsequent general criteria so as to be considered:
- Applications may only be submitted by WCC member churches consistent with their specific human resource needs concerning diakonia and development related work. No applications from individuals lacking appropriate recommendation from a WCC member church are going to be considered.
- Applicants are required to supply any additional information associated with their application as requested by the WCC scholarships office. it’s the responsibility of the applicant to make sure proper channels of communications are maintained throughout the appliance process. Individuals must have completed education , possess military training for employment and preferably accompany several years of labor experience associated with the proposed field of study. Applicants should also hold the required qualifications to undertake the proposed programme of study and be committed to participating fully within the lifetime of the host community during the amount of study.
- The applicant must comply with the terms of award that specify she/he must return to her/his respective country and therefore the requesting body to require up the task/role that the study was requested once she/he has completed the programme of study. the amount of service is to be specifically agreed with the requesting body as a part of the appliance process and mutually confirmed before the award of scholarships.
