Brief description:
The New Zealand-ASEAN Scholar Awards are scholarships for international students from Southeast Asian countries who want to pursue postgraduate studies in New Zealand with the intention to assist in the development of their home countries.

Levels/Fields of study:
Scholarships are available for the subsequent level of studies: Postgraduate Certificate (6 months), Postgraduate Diploma (1 year), Master’s Degree (1 – 2 years), or PhD (3 – 4 years) apart from Brunei and Singapore where only PhD studies are supported.
Preferred fields of study should be relevant to the event needs of your country (i.e. renewable energy, agriculture, fisheries, disaster risk management, natural resources management, health, and education). determine the well-liked subjects for your country.

Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Viet Nam
Scholarship value/inclusions:
The scholarship includes full tuition fees, a living allowance (paid fortnightly), an institution allowance, medical and travel insurance, travel between your home country and New Zealand at the beginning and end of your scholarship, home leave, or reunion travel for a few eligible scholars, pastoral and academic support at your institution, and assistance with research and thesis costs for many postgraduate research students.
Eligibility:
Applicants must meet the subsequent conditions to be eligible for a replacement Zealand Scholarship:
• Be a minimum of 18 years aged at the time of commencing your scholarship.
• Be a citizen of the country from which you’re applying for a scholarship and have resided therein country for a minimum of the last two years.
• comply with return to your home country for a minimum of two years on completion of the scholarship.

How to apply

Scholarship Council Canada has electronic application center, fill in the form and upload your documents. Upon successful application submission, you will receive an acknowledgment and electronic payment receipt. Keep it safe as a reference and wait for the outcome.
