This scholarship is awarded for a student who is accepted to International Graduate Program (Master’s or Doctoral Program) after entrance exam (AO method).

Applicants must have the nationality of the countries (including Mongolia) within the following area: South East Asia, South Asia, West Asia, Central Asia, Africa. AND applicants must have bachelor’s degrees or further degrees from the schools in the above countries and areas.
Scholarship value/inclusions:
-Tuition and costs are provided.
-200,000JPY/month is provided as daily expenses.
-Round-trip air ticket to and from Japan is provided
-2 years at maximum for a Master’s candidate
– 3years at maximum for a Doctoral candidate
Eligibility:
Applicants must satisfy the subsequent criteria to be eligible for consideration for the scholarship:
(1) Desire to Enter grad school
Applicants are required to be strongly committed to reviewing at Waseda’s particular grad school of his/her primary choice.
(2) Nationality / Region
Applicants must be citizens of South East Asia, South Asia, West Asia, Central Asia, Africa, or Mongolia.
(3) Location of Residence
Applicants must apply for this program from overseas.
(4) Academic Background
Applicants must have bachelor’s degrees or further degrees from schools in countries and areas of South East Asia, South Asia, West Asia, Central Asia, Africa, or Mongolia.
(5) Age
Applicants must be under the age of 30 for Master’s Program or under the age of 35 for Doctoral Program at the time of enrolment into the grad school of Waseda University.
